Accomodation for the students
The school helps students find accommodation in Florence. The different types of accommodation available are: single or double room with the use of kitchen, with breakfast or half board (breakfast and dinner), with a host family, in a student apartment, in a private apartment (one or two rooms) or in a hotel room (1, 2 or 3 stars). In order to guarantee our customers a pleasant stay in Florence all rooms, flats, hotels, etc. are carefully chosen and thoroughly checked by the school staff. The school expect students to arrive on the Sunday before the beginning of lessons and to leave their lodgings on the Saturday after the end of the course. All apartments in the historic centre of Florence are 5/15 minutes walk far from the school, while those outside the historic centre are at a maximum of 15 minutes by bus far from the school. The nearest bus stops to the school are in Via Vecchietti and in front of the central railway station.
Single or double rooms in apartments, which are shared with other Italian or foreign students or with the owner of the apartment. The use of kitchen is the only board solution available for this type of accomodation. All apartments are furnished, all rooms are provided with sheets and blankets and all kitchens are provided with all the necessary facilities to cook and eat on one's own (electrical appliances, cutlery, dishes). This is the best solution for those students who want to have more freedom, but it involves that the student itself cleans the house, buys the food, cooks and washes the dishes.
Rooms with a host family
Single or double rooms in apartments with carefully chosen Italian host families. These accomodations are very comfortable and the host families are always very friendly and helpful. In this type of accomodation the student can choose among various board solutions: use of kitchen, breakfast and half board (breakfast and dinner). It is possible to decide the time of the meals together with the host family. In case the student can not use this service, the family has to prepare a cut-lunch. Since the host family does all the housework, this is the best solution for those students, who want to spend the most comfortable stay. It is also the best way to improve one's Italian, because the student uses Italian everyday to communicate with the host family. He also has the opportunity to discover the culture and the habits of Italian families. The services of the host families with the half board solution are the followings: change of the bed sheets once a week, cleaning of the bedroom, cooking of the meals, washing-up of the dishes, washing of the student's clothes in the washing mashine, etc.
One-, two- or three-bed rooms in hotels (1, 2 or 3 stars), with private bathroom and breakfast included. Our school cooperates with hotels, which give our students special prices (over all during the low season). All hotels are located in the historic centre of Florence, at a maximum of 10 minutes walk far from the school and the central railway station. Hotel rooms can be booked also for one day only.
Studio apartments or apartments with 2 or 3 bedrooms. The rent price for private apartments differs according to various factors, such as size, location (in or outside the historic centre) and further requests. The students should specify their requests, for example television, telephone, washing mashine, air conditioning, bath, double bed, etc. More will be the requests, higher will be the rent price of private apartments.
