Art history, Italian fashion, Business Italian, Italian cooking and wines
Complementary courses are short classes, which enable foreign students to acquire a general knowledge of the subject they are interested in. These courses are held in the afternoon twice a week. Each lesson is made up of two hours. They can be one-to-one or group courses. The price for each week of attendance is 45 Euro (didactic material included).
The price for each week of attendance of Italian cooking and wine classes is 60 Euro (including the cost for the ingredients).
On request on the part of the students it is possible to deepen or widen the programmes.
Art history
The course gives students an overview of art history in Florence.
Florence, a “open-air museum”, is the city of the Renaissance. During each lesson the teacher will introduce a single epoch, talking about a monument or about a building of great artistic value.
Students will be able to visit the most famous museums of Florence together with the teacher and therefore to understand the contents of the greatest works of art on exhibit.

Italian fashion
During the course the teacher will talk about the beginning of the “Made in Italy”, about the great Italian fashion designers, about their distinctive characteristics and their history.
Each lesson will approach various topics, such as terminology, textiles, accessories, fashion- shows and new trends.
The aim of the course is to make students get to know in detail a fascinating world with an expert teacher.

Business Italian
The course aims to give the students the bases to understand business terminology and to know the various stages of Italian commercial life in the business as well as in the tourist sector. Students will learn how to understand and write commercial letters, communicate by phone, introduce themselves, apply for a job, solve various problems, know company documents, company rules and public as well as private institutions.

Italian cooking and wines
Students will attend theoretic classes at school of Italian cooking terminology and practical lessons at the teacher's home where they will learn how to cook and prepare typical Italian dishes.
Lessons also include the tasting of the menu they have prepared.
It is possible to prepare a menu requested by the students.
